MA in Applied Language Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences(Applied Japanese Studies Program)
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences has a Department of Applied Japanese, a Department of Applied English, a Department of Applied Chinese, and a Department of Arts, Culture, Creativity, and Governance.
The overall educational goal of the M.A.L. program in Japanese is "to cultivate Japanese language professionals with an international outlook and proficiency in Japanese language and culture.
MA in Applied Language Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences(Applied Chinese Studies Program)
It focuses on cultivating Chinese-related professionals, Chinese-language teaching talents, and textbook writers with an international outlook and cross-field knowledge, which will in turn nourish students' ability to "graduate" or "be employable".
The teaching curriculum planning of the MA studies includes：1. digital learning platform-assisted teaching; 2. small class-size exquisite teaching;
3. cross-cultural communication and cross-language comparative analysis;
4. practical teaching to improve students’ learning quality.
With the goal of cultivating Chinese language teachers who are active in the international community, the MA studies design various courses related to Chinese language teaching, and provides opportunities for students to practice in the Chinese Language Center of Kainan University, so that students can be equipped with employability skills immediately after graduation.
